biohazard

bio-something
mitochondria maybe
in the ocean of chemical microbials
(before organ/s/isms)
push into another sack
of chemicals
so two become one
the larger absorbing the smaller
holding it within its walls
until 99.9+% of the time
the smaller dies

but,
that one-millionth of a percent (or whatever)
over two billion years
hits
(eventually)
and from that initial merger:
life
as we know it(.)
these two cells bump/absorb
and birth beluga whales, bears, narwhals, termites,
humans, etc. despite
no biological necessity
to produce life
to produce size-
that's the rub, after all,
how to grow
out of the energy canyon?

one pushes into one
and becomes two.

late at night, i try to explain this whole process to you
but my biology is bad
i never paid too close
attention
in those remedial science classes
they forced upon me

so one pushes into one
and becomes two.

i haven't got the words, really
my nomenclature
is busted
and lacking.
life theory
involves too many technical terms, but,
this one pushes into one thing-
that I can do,
so i show you, instead.
